AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
AND AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE,
OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
. .Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Section 8,813 through
8.845 of the, Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
the sign district classifications of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans~-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Comr~is.sian and
this Council , the request for sign district change of cl assi f i cati an i s i n
conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as required by Section
5..830. of the Eugene Code, 1971.
NO~~, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own
. the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff
Notes of June 5, 1979, and the Planning Commission minutes of June 5, 1919, for
. the reasons set forth herein, and

Section 1. As provided by Section 8.625 of the Eugene Code,~1971, the
sign district map and the sign code schedule of district changes are .hereby .
amended to reflect the fol I owi ng change of sign district

more particularly described on the attached Exhibit 'EA," located east of
the intersection of River Road and Division Avenue.
Si gn District Boundary Change from Residential District to Integrated
Shopping District.
Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to cause the sign district map and the schedule of sign district _
classification changes attached to Chapter 9 of, the Eugene Code, l9ll, to show
the foregoing change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with
respect to building in the appropriate classification.
