AN ORDINANCE CCNCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
AND AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE,
CREGON
THE QITY COUNCIL CF THE ,CITY CF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of CRS ~~7.Z15 and Section $.813 through
8. S45 of the Eugene Code, X971, the City Counc i ~ has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
the sign district classifications of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materi a1 s trans-
muted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and
this Caunc i l , ,the request for sign district change of classification i s i n
conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as required by Sectio n
8.83Q of the Eugene Cade, 1971. .~

Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own
the specific affirmative findings ~contai ned i n the Planning Department Staff
Notes of June 5, X919, and the P1 anni ng Commission minutes of June 5, 1979, fa.r
the reasons .set forth herein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FCLLOWS:
. Section 1, As provided by Section 8,65 of the Eugene Code, X971, the .
sign district map and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to reflect the fol-~ owl ng change of sign district

. District with Site Review Procedures ~ , as more particularly described on
the attached Exhibit "A," located north of River Avenue, east of River
.Road.
Sign District Boundary Change from Residential District to Outlying
Commercial District.
Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to cause the sign district map and the schedule of sign district
classification changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show
-. the foregoing change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with
• respect to building in the appropriate classification. -
