HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 18500ORDINANCE NO. $~Qj~ An Ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described public utility easement, to-wit: A l4 foot sanitary sewer easement; 7 feet on each side of the following described centerline: BEGINN2NG at a point on the North line of Section. 33, Township l7 South, Range 4 Nest of the Willamette Meridian; said point be- ing South 89°22'23" East 790.82 feet from the Northwest corner of said Section 33, run thence South 4°Ql'02" East 1629.55 feet to the most eas ter.ly Northeast corner of Sweet-- land Industrial Park, as platted and record- ed in volume 56, Page 25, Lane County Oregon Plat Records, in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. EXCEPT, the North 30 feet thereof. Spectra-Physics Ev 79-9} THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Eugene herein ini- tiates the vacatian proceedings on its own authority without peti- tion or consent of the property owners, except as provided by statute, of the above described public utility easement. Section 2. A hearing shall be held upon the proposal to vacate the public utility easement as herein provided, and the hearing shall be held on the 24th day of October, 1979, at noon, Pacific Daylight Time of said date, at the Council. Chambers at City Hall, Eugene, Oregon, at which time all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with regard to the vacatian, and at said time the Council will provide for the vacation of the public util~,ty easement or deny such vacation, and in case the vacation is made, will provide and make provision for any damages sustained by local assessment. Section 3. The City Recorder is hereby directed to immediately publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper pub- Ordinance - 1 18500 lished in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, not~,ce of the proposed vaca- tion, The notice shall give a description of the area to be vacated as herein set aut; state the date when this ordinance was passed, the name of any petitioners petitioni~,g for the vacation, and the date when the petition, together with any objections or remonstrances w ` hick may be made in writing and filed kith the Recorder o~ the City of Eugene prior to the date of the hearing, will be heard and considered. Section 4.
