AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAW2NG FROM THE
R2VER ROAD WATER DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY, OREGON,
THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNExED TO THE CITY OF
EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER N0. 633 OF THE LANE COUNTY
LOCAL GOVERNMENT BQUNDARY COMMISSION qN JUNE 12,
1979; AND DECLARING. AN EMERGENCY
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3234
adopted on ,~epte~ber 5, 19 79 proposed withdrawal from theRiver Road
Water District of that part of the District annexed to the City on
June 12, 1979, by Final Order No. 633 of the Lane County Local
Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set September l9, 1979 at 12:OD o'clock noon,
Pacific Daylight Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene,
Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the withdrawal,
and directed that notice of the. time and place of the hearing be pub-
fished once. each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearin
g
and be posted in foux public places in the City for the. same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City, to~wit: 0n the bulletin
board at the City Hall in the City of Eugene, Oregon; on the bulletin
board located on the east side of oak Street where Oak and Park Streets
intersect; on the bulletin board on the northwest corner of the inter-
section of 8th Avenue and Oak Street; and on the bulletin board in
the first floor lobby of the Lane County Courthouse, all in the City of
Eugene, Lane County, Oregon,
The City desires to assume liability of the District proportionate
to the part of the District that has been annexed to the City.
Nc~ party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed territory
from the .District and it is in the best interest of the City that the

NoW, THEREFORE ,
THE CITY OF ~ EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLL4wS
Section 1. Tree territory in Lane County, oregan~, annexed to
the City of Eugene on June 12, 1979, as bounded and described as
follows, is hereby withdrawn .from the River Road water District:
As described on-Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made
a part hereof by reference ~Carl~ton/Jensen/Parks -A/2 78~-14}
Section 2. The matters contained herein concern. the public
welfare and, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
