AN oRDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWING FROM THE
JUNCTION CITY WATER CONTROL DI5TRICT OF LANE
COUNTY, OREGON, THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNEXED
To THE CITY OF EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER NO 626 OF
THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION
oN MAY 3, 1979; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3231
adopted September 5, 1979, proposed withdrawal from the Junction City
Water Control District of that part of the District annexed to the
City on May 3, 1979 by Final Order No. 626 of the Lane County Local
Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described.
The Resolution set September 19, 1979 at 12.00 o'clock noon,
Pacific Daylight Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene,
Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the withdrawal,
and directed that notice of the. time and place of the~'hearing be pub-
lished once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearing
and be posted in four public places in the City for the same period.
The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Register Guard
and posted in four public places in the City, to--wit: On the bulletin
board at the City Hall in the City of Eugene, Oregon; on the bulletin
board located on the east side of Oak Street where oak and Park Streets
intersect; on the bulletin board on the northwest corner of the inter-
section of Sth Avenue and oak Street; and on the bulletin board in
the first floor lobby of the Lane County Courthouse, all in the City
of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
The City desires to assume liability of the District proportionate
to the~part of the District that has been annexed to the City.
No party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed territory

from the District, and it is in the best interest of the Cit that

the territory be withdrawn.

THE CITY GF EUGENE DOES GRDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The territory in Lane County, Oregan, annexed to
the City of Eugene on May 3, 19?9, as bounded and described as
follows, is hereby withdrawn from the Junction City Water Control
District:
As described on Exhibit "A",attached hereto and made
a part hereby by reference 4Maher - A/Z ?8-18~
Section 2. The matters contained herein concern the public
welfare and, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Council and approved by the Mayor.
