AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 9.278 and 9.668
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the 1 imitations contained therein, to change
the zone ng c1 assn f~ cats on of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commi ssi on, the materials trans-
mitted therewith, and the ev7dence presented before the Planning Commission
and this Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance
with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in lane; and the
publ ~ c need can best be served by changing the c1 assi fi cati an of the property;
NOI~, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes
of September 4, 1979, and the Planning Commi ssi on minutes of September 4, 1979,
for the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOI~S:
Section ~. As provided,by Section 9.218 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the
zoning map an t e zoning ordnance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change of zone:
Tax Lots 4040, 4100, 4200, 4600, 600, 100, 500, 1100, 1200, 28x0,
2900, 3000, 3100, 3200, 3300, 3500, 3640, 300, 3800, 3900, 6300,
6400, 6600, 6704, 6800, 6900, 7000--Assessor's Map 17-03-30-4 4, as
more partTCU1 arty described on the attached Exhibit A, 1 orated in
the East Butte D1str~ct of the Wh~teaker Neighborhood between Skinner
Butte Park and High Street, south of the vacated east-west all ey
south of Cheshire Street and north of the east-west alley north
of 4th Avenue.
Change of zone from R-2 Limited Mul ti p1 e-Family Residential District
and RG Garden Apartment District to R-2/20A Limited Mu1 ti p1 e-Family
Residential District with a maximum density of 20 units per acre.
Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he i s hereby authorized and
directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district
changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing

to building in the appropriate classification.
