AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET;
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF EUGENE FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY ~, 1979, AND ENDING
JUNE 30, 1980; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the supplemental budget for the City of Eugene, Oregon,
for the year commencing July 1, 1979, and ending June 30, 1980, as set forth
i n Section ~ below, be, and the same i s hereby adopted.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, does
hereby make the separate appropriation for each purpose, as detailed and
itemized herein, pursuant to the provisions and in the manner provided by law
as follows:

Section 3. That this supplemental budget is prepared in accordance with
ORS 294.484, which authari zes the formulation of a suppl emental budget resulting
from "an occurrence or condition which had not been ascertained at the time of
the preparation of a budget for the current year which requires a change
in financial planning..."
Section 4. This ordinance, in accordance with ORS 294.480, does "not
authorize any increased levy of taxes," and appropriations for this supple-
mental budget shat l be funded from previously uncommitted revenue.
Section 5. The provi sons of this ordinance are necessary far the purpose
of protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the city, and, therefore, an
emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shat 1 become effective
immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
