AN ORDI~~ANCE CONCERNING TRAFFIC LA'~TS;
AMENDING SECTION 5.005 OF THE EUGENE
CODE , 19 71; AND DECLARIT~G ALd EMERGENCY .
T~iE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. Section 5.005 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby
amended to read and provide:
5.005 State Tr:affi~ Laws. It is the pali.cy of the city to
conform its traffic law as closely as feasible to the
traffic laws of .the State of Oregon. SRS 275.420, 486.075,
4$6.221, and the provisions of 4~S Chapters 481, 482, 483,
484, 4S5 and 4$7 as now enacted or hereafter amended, are
hereby adopted, and violation thereof shall constitute an
offense against the city.
Section 2. That the provisions contained herein affect the
peace and safety of the citizens of the City o~ Eugene and there-
fore, an emergency is hereby decla~e~ tQ e~ist~ and this ordinance
shall become effecti~ue immediately upon its passage by the City
Council and approval by the Mayor.
