AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING PROHIBITION OF vEHICULAR
PARKING IN BICYCLE LANES; AMENDING SECTION 5.225
- ~ OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1911; AND DECLARING AN EMER-
GE NCY .
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Subsection ~1} of Section 5.225 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is
hereby amended by addi ng a new subparagraph ~ i } thereto, to read and
provide
5.225 Prohibited Parking and Standing; Exceptions.

~i} A vehicle in a bicycle lane, unless there is at least
_ 3.5 feet of unobstructed bicycle lane between the parked vehicle
and the nearest vehicular lane.
Sect i an 2 . That. the provisions contained herein concern the public welfare
and safety and therefore, an~ emergency is hereby declared to exist, and
this Ordinance shat 7 became effective immediately upon its passage by the
City Council. and approval by the Mayor.
