- AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN
DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227, 215, Sect ion 8.813, 9.278 and 9.668
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and
responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the
zoning and sign district c1assif ication of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and
this Counci 1, the request for zone change and s iqn district change of classi-
f ication i s in conformance with the General Plan; there is a publ i c need for the
ch ange in zone; and the pub 1 i c need can best be served by ch angi nq the c 1 as s i -
f ication of the property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upon the .foregoing, the City Council hereby adapts as its own the
specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Notes
of November 6, 1979, and the Planning Commission minutes of November 6, 1979
for the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule
of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereb

amended to ref 1 ect the fo 11 owe ng change of zone and s ~ gn d ~ st r i ct :
Tax Lots 12400, 12500, 12600, 12700, 13300, 13400, 14000, 14600,
14700--Assessor's Map 17-03-30-3 1, and Tax Lots 104 and 200--
Assessar's Map 17-03-30-3 4, as more particularly described on the
attached Exhibit "A" located north of 1st Avenue between Washington
and Lincoln streets and south of 1st Avenue between Lawrence and

Lincoln streets.
Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to R-3/SR Mul t ipl e-
Family Residential District with Site Review Procedures, said site
review procedures addressing concerns as set forth in Exhibit "B",
attached, and change of Sign District -from Industrial District to
Residential District.

Section Z. The Planning Director,be, and he is hereby authorized and
d~ recte o cause the zoning map, the sign district map, the schedule of sign
district classification changes attached to Chapter S, and the zoning ordinance
schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to
show the foregoing change of classification of area and to Hate thereon the rule
with respect to building in the appropriate classification.
