AN DRDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP 4F THE CITY GF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 9.215 and 9.668
through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
and responsi bi 1 i ty, subject to the 1 imitations contained therein, to change
the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materi a1 s trans-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Cammission
and this Council, the request far zone change classification is in conformance
with the General Plan; there i s a publ i c need for the change i n zone a and the
public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Based upan the foregoing, the City Council hereby adapts as its own the
specific affirmative findings captained in the Planning Department staff notes
of January 22, 1950, and the Planning Commission minutes of January 22, 1980,
for the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FDLL4WS:
Sect ion 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the
zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended _ to ref 1 ect the fo 11 owi ng change of zone :
Tax Lots 604, 740, 840--Assessor's Map 17--44-36-1 1:
As more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A located west of
B1 ai r Boulevard, east of Polk Street, betweer~ 4th and 5th avenues ,
Change of zone from C-2 Community Commercial District to R-~2114A Limited
Multiple-Family Residential District with a maximum density of 14 units
per. acre .
Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district
changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to Shaw the faregoi ng
change of classification of area and to Hate thereon the rule with respect
to building in the appropriate classification.
