An Ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described
Street, to'-Wlt.
The Southerly 20 feet of Lots ,16~ 17~ 18, 19, 20,
and ~1, Second Addition to Sw~eetbriar~ as platted
and recorded on File 73, Slide 305, Lane County,
Oregon flat Eecords.
RESERVING herein all public utilaty~ sidewalk, and
slope easements established as part of the plat of
Second Addition to S~weetbxiar Subdivision as platted
and recorded on. File 73, Slide 305, of the Lane
County, Oregon plat records and the right to enter
in and ~.pon the same for purposes of construction,
reconstructions maintenance and repairs. ~stimac SCI 79-8~.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FoLLQV~S:
Section 1. The City ~o~ncil Q~ the City of Eugene herein ini-
tiates the vacation proceedings on its own authority without peti-
tion or consent of the property owners, e.~cept as provided by sta-
tute, of the above described street.
Section 2. A hearing shall be held ~.pon the proposal to vacate
the street as herein provided, and the hearing shall be held on the
11th day of ~'une, 1980, at noon, Pacific Daylight Time of said date,
at the Council Chambers at City Hall, Eugene, Oregon, at which time
all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with re-
gard to the vacation, and at said tame the Council will provide for
the vacation of the street or deny such:~~racation, and in case the
vacation is made, will provide and make provision for any damages
sustained by local
assessment,
Section 3. The City Recorder is hereby directed to immediately
publish once each week fir f.aur consecutive weeks in a newspaper pub-

fished in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, notice of th.e proposed vaca-
tion. The notice shall g.%ve a description of the area to be vacated
as herein set out; state the date when this ordinance was passed, the
name of any petitioners petitioning for the vacation, and the date
when the petition, together with a,ny a~bjections or remonstrances which
may be made in writing and filed with the Recorder of the City of
Eugene prior to the date of the hearing, will be heard and considered.
Section 4, The City Recorder shall forthwith and within five
days after the first publication of the notice post, or cause to be
posted, at ar near each end of the proposed vacation a copy of the
foregoing, which shall be headed ~~Notice of Street 'Vacation," and
which notice shall be posted in at least two conspicuous places in
or on the area proposed to be vacated.
The posting and the .first day of publication of th.e notice shall
be not less than twenty-~i~ht X28} days before the time set for hear-~
ing.

To ALL PERSONS WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the City Council
of the City of Eugene, held at the Council Chambers at City Hall,
Eugene, Oregon, on the 7th day of May, 19$0 there was passed by
the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Eugene,
Lane County, Oregon, an Ordinance setting a hearing to be held on
the 11th day of June, 1980, at 12:00 o'clock noon, Pacific Daylight
Time, at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Eugene, oregQn, for the
purpose of hearing remonstrances and .protests against the vacations

The City Council will consider and act upon the proposed vaca-
tions an the 11th day of June, 1984, at 12:44 o'clock noon, Pacific
Daylight Time, at the Council Chambers at City Hall, Eugene, Oregon,
and will consider ordinances vacating the above. All persons having
objections thereto or remonstrances or protests are hereby notified
to present the same to the City Council in writing .prior to said
hearing or at said time and place.
