HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 18623A/Z 79-9 ORDINANCE N0. ~~ AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON .r THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY QF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to~ the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.fi58 . through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority ,~ .and respans i bi 1 i ty, subject to the 1 imitations conta~i ned tnerei n, to change the zoning ciassification of property within the City of Eugene; , Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- .. miffed therewith, and the evidence presented before the Pianning Commission and this City Council , the request far zone change classification i s i n conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the pubic need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, • Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own. the specific affirmative findings contained in the.Planning Commission findings of February l8, 1980, and the Planning Department supplemental. staff notes of May 12, 1980, and Planning Commission minutes of January 22 and February 18, 1980, and City ~ounci 1 minutes of March ~24, 1984, and May 12,1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1, As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the fa]lowing change of zone: . A portion of Tax Lot 140-Assessor's Map 1$-04»10, as more particularly described on the attached exhibit A, located south and west of Warren Street... Change of zone from County AGT Agricultural, Grazing, and Timber-Raising District and RA Suburban District to~ City R~1/PD Law~Density Residential District ~di th Pl ar~~~ec~ Unit Devel opr~ent Procedures . Section 2. That the zoning designations provided for herein shall become effective upon .entry of a Final .Order of the Lane County Boundary Commission annexing territory described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. The Punning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 197, to show the foregoing change of classification of area and to note thereon the ruse with respect to building in .the appropriate ciassification. .
