AN DRDI~iANCE LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR paVing, sanitary sewer and storm sewer within
Dawne Plat, and paving Cleveland Street from approximately 100 feet north of
24th Avenue La apprax~mately 200 feet south of 2~th Avenue, and paving 24th
Avenue from Cleveland Street to ]5 feet east, all within the City of Eugene,

in a qty of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
RECITALS:
The City Council of the City of Eugene did by Resolution No. 3021 ,adapted October ll
19 ]8, determine to pave streets and canstruet sanitary sewer and storm sewer wi thi n
Dawne Plat; pave Cleveland Street from approximately 100 feet north of 24th Avenue
to approximately 200 feet south of 25th Avenue; and pave~24th avenue from Cleveland
Street to l5 feet east, all within the City of Eugene, Oregon.
The City Council authorized the execution of a contract for the construction of the local
improvements an April 9 , 19 ~~ A
The local improvements have been constructed in accordance with the contract and applicable
provisions of the Eugene City Code and the cost thereof and a~r~aunt to be assessed have been ascertained to be:

The City Council has established the method of calculating local
improvement assessments in Sections 7.110 through l.lBQ of the Eugene City
Code; and .
.Notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed owners
of the hereinafter designated parcels of real property has been heretofore duly
and regularly given in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 1 of the
Eugene City Cade, and the City Council has heard any and all protests,
objections and remonstrances thereto and has fully considered them.
THE CITY DF EUGEPZE DOES ORDAIN A5 ~'ObL4WS:
Section 1. That the total cost of paving, sanitary sewer and storm
sewer w7th~n awne at, paving Cleveland Street from approximately 144 feet
north of 24th Avenue to approximately 204 feet south of 25th Avenue; and paving
of 2~th Avenue from C1 evel ar~d Street to 7'S feet east,
in the City of Eugene, is the sum of ~ 81,646.65 , aforesaid, which .
is by this ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter
described in the amounts set opposite, respectively.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon ,
-does .hereby determine and assess each tat and part of lot being in Eugene, -
~,ane County, Oregon, to-wit:

Sectian 3. That the City Council of the City of Eugene daes
hereby determine that each parcel of land or lot hereinbefore described
i s specifically benefi tied to the extent of the assessment hereinbefore
set forth, and daes hereby declare each and all of said assessments to
be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land
against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs
the City Recorder to enter in the Jacket of City Liens, a statement thereof
containing the following:
first: A description of each lot, part of lot ar acreage properly
liable for such improvement.
Second: The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof, or that
the name of the owner is unknown.
Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering
the same in the said docket of City Liens.
Sectian 4, That these provisions concern the public welfare
because of the necessity to promptly record and ascertain the amount of
each assessment and the lien arising therefrom, and the need to promptly
notify affected property owners, and therefore an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor. ,
