RECITALS: The City Council of the City of Eugene did by Resolution No. 241 ,adopted June 2l 19 ]8 ,determine to pave streets, construct storm sewer and sidewalk in 25th Avenue from 45D feet East of Cleveland to 800 feet East of Cleveland Street, The City Council authorized the execution of a contract for the construction of the local improvements on ~~11 y 2~, _ ,_ > 1g]~ ; The local improvements have been constructed in accordance with the contract and applicable provisions of the Eugene City Cade and the east thereof and amount to be assessed have been ascertained to be: Item 1. City's Share of Cost for Completed Contract: Unpaid Balance of Fund No. Cit 's Share Intersection $1255.83 Ordinance - 1 I S7oo The City Council has established the method Of calculating local improvement assessments in Sections 7.170 through 7.180 of the Eugene City Code; and Notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed owners ,of the hereinafter designated parcels of real property has been heretofore duly and regularly given in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 7 of the Cugene City Code, and the City Council has heard any and a]1 protests, objections and remonstrances thereto and has fully considered them. That the total cast of paving, storm sewer and si dewal k in 25th Avenue ram 50 feet Cast of Cleveland Street to 800 feet East of Cleveland Street. Job #1173 in the City of Cugene, is the sum of ~ 3~~854.85 , ~, aforesaid, which is by this ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter described in the amounts set apposite, respectively. That the City Council of the City of Eugene does hereby determine that each parcel of land ar lot hereinbefare described is specifically benefitted to the extent of the assessment hereinbefare set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assessments to be liens upon the respective tats, parts of lots ar parcels of land against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs the City Recorder to enter in the docket of City Liens, a statement thereof containing the fallowing: First: A description of each lot, part of lot or acreage properly liable for such improvement. Second: The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof, ar that the name of the owner is unknown. Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering the same in the said docket of City Liens. Section 4. That these provisions concern the public welfare because of the necessity to promptly record and ascertain the amount of each assessment and the lien arising therefrom, and the need to promptly notify affected property owners, and therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall became effective immediately upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
