AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE zONING SAP aF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT;
Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.218 and Sections 9.278 and 9.68
through 9.84 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
and responsibi 1 it.y~, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
the zoning classification of property within the City of. Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materi a1 s trans-
mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission
anc~ this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con-
formance with the General P1 an; there is a public need for the change in zone;
and the public need .can best be served by changing the c1 ossification of the
property; ~ ~
NO~~, THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes
of August 5, 1980, and the Planning Commission minutes of August ~, 1980, for
the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLO~IS:
5ectian 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to ref 1 ect the fo11 owi ng change of zone
Tax Lots 2700, 2702, and 2801--Assessor E s ~~ap 17-~03-29--3 0 as more
particularly described on the attached Exhibit A, located east of Coburg
Road and south of Centennial Boulevard.
Change of zone from PL Pub1 is Land to .C..2 Community Cammerci al District
for portions of Tax Lots ?7D0 and 2702, and from C-2 PD to C-2 for Tax Lot
2801. .
Section 2. The Planning Directo~^ .be and is hereby authorized and directed
to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes
attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing
