Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance No. 18706 snse 80~2 ORDINANCE NO. -18 7tJ , AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE~ OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 8.81-3 through 8.845 of. the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject .to the limitations contained therein~ to change the sign district classifications of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council, the request for sign district change of classification is in " conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as required by Section 8.830 of the Eugene Code, 1971. NOW, -THEREFORE, Based. upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as 'its own the specific affirmative findings contained i.n the Planning Department staff notes of July 8, 1980, and the Planning Commission minutes of July 8, 1980, for the reasons set forth herein, and . THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 8.625 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the sign district map and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the. following change of sign 9istrict: Tax Lot 50Q--Assessor's Map 17-03-34-3 4, Tax Lot 800--Assessor's Map 17-03-34-3 3, and Tax Lot 30Q--Assessor's Map 17-03-33-4 4, and Tax Lots 100, 190, 200, 300, 602, 2700, and 280Q--Assessor's Map '18-03-03-2 0, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A located north of Judkins Road, west of Henderson Avenue. Sign district designation to "Industrial Sign District. Section 2. The Planning Director be and ;s hereby authorized and directed to cause the sign district map and the schedule of sign district classification changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foreQoin~ change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect to building in the appropriate classification.
