AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE CITIZENS INVOLVEMENT
COMMITTEE: AMENDING SECTION 2.413 4F THE EUGENE
CODES 1971 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
Section l . The designation o f the number o f citi zen and co un-
cilor members on the Citizen Involvement Committee set forth in the
table o f C ity Council Boards , Committees and Commissions in Section
2.413 of the Eugene 'ode, 1971; is hereby amended by increasing the
citizen membership from three members to five members, decreasing
the Councilor membership from two member ~ L~ one member, and adding
one Neighborhood Leader Organization representative. The Neighborhood
Leader Organ~.zati~~,n representative shall be appointed by Council for
a one-year term.
Section 2. The activities of the Citizens Involvement Committee
concern matters affecting the public welfare and safety, and in order
to insure the continuation o f tho se activities in an orderly manner
an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall
become effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
