AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY DF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
_ Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668
t hraugh 9.654 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
and responsibility, subject to the lirnitatians contained therein, to change
the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene;
Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-
mi tted therewith, and the .evidence presented .before the Planning Commission
and this City Council,,the request for zone change classification is~in con-
formance with the General Plan; there is a public .need for the change in zone;
and the public need can best be served by changing the' classification of the
property;
"NOW, ~ THEREFORE,
Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its o~~~n the
specific affirmative findings, contained in the Planning Department staff notes
of staff Hates of May 6, May l9, June .9, June 23, and September 22, 1980,
and the P1 anning Carnmi ssion minutes of ~~ay 6, May 19, June 9, June 23, and
September 22, 1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. As provided by .Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
zoning ,ap and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby
amended to reflect the following change of zone:
Tax Lots 1501, 1503, 1504, 1505, 1506, 15D7, 1508, 1509, 1510, 1511, 1512,
1513, 160 and that ,portion of Tax Lot 1500 south of the proposed extenw
Sion of Atlantic Avenuew-Assessor's Map 17-04-2 5. Tax Lots 400, Sao,
600, 800, 801, 900, 901, 902, 1001, 1003, 1005, 1006, 1007, loos, 1009, .
1010, 1011, 1012, ,1013, 1014, 1015, 1016, 1017, 1018, 1019,, 1a20, 12ao,
X202, 1~D3, 1301, 1302, 1303, 1304, 1305, 1306, 1307, 1348, 1309, 1310,
1311, 1312, 1313, 1314, 1400, 1500, and l5Ol~-Assessor's Map 17-D4-3 3 as
more particulary described on the attached Exhibit A. Located generally
north of West ~llth Avenue, south of 1st Avenue, between Terry Street to
Beltl ine Road,
Change of zone from M--3 Heavy ~Industri al District to M-2 Light Industrial
District .

Section ~: The Planning Director be and is.hereby authorized and directed
to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes
attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, X971, to show the foregoing ~ch~ange of
classification of area and to note thereon the rule with respect to buildi~nq in
the appropriate c1 assif ication.
