A. WORK SESSION: Civic Stadium Business Plan Review
Mayor Piercy opened the discussion, noting that a broader conversation about this item
will be scheduled for the January 22, 2014 City Council work session.
MOTION AND VOTE: Councilor Taylor, seconded by Councilor Brown, moved to
listen to the people who came to speak to Council on this item. FAILED
6:2, Councilors Taylor and Brown in favor.
Motion on Initiating Metro Plan Amendment
MOTION AND VOTE: Councilor Poling, seconded by Councilor Clark, moved to
schedule a work session on or before Wednesday, February 12, 2014 to deliberate
on initiating a process to amend the Metro Plan diagram to designate 955 Coburg
Road as Low Density Residential. The deliberations shall be cancelled if the
property owner and the LUBA appellant agree to a settlement in the pending
LUBA appeal of the zone change for 955 Coburg Road before the scheduled work
session." PASSED 8:0.
B. WORK SESSION: Joint Meeting with Police Commission
The Chair and Vice Chair of the Police Commission, Bob Walkerand Tamara Miller,
presented information about the Police Commission's activities, goals, and FY 14-15
Work Plan.
Councilors expressed thanks to the Police Commission members for their work.
The meeting adjourned at 1:30 p.m.
