A. BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS INTERVIEWS
The council interviewed Eric Jones, Zach Mulholland, Mike (Jon) Brinkley, Thomas Pettus -Czar,
Jennifer Reesor, and Todd Miller for vacancies on the Sustainability Commission. Each candidate
was asked the following questions:
1. What prompted you to apply for the Sustainability Commission? Based on whatyou know
about the role of the commission, what skills, knowledge and community connections could
you bring to help the commission be successful?
2. What are some of the most promising opportunities to advance sustainability in Eugene? How
would you suggest the commission work with city council to take action?
3. The commission is asked to advise the council on a policy that has the potential to provide
significant "green"reau lts (e.g. energy efficiency, natural resource protection, etc.) but appears
to have negative impacts to social equity in the community. How would you reconcile these
impacts? What priorities should guide the commission's position? _
