Commissioners Present: Pat Farr, Jay Bozievich, Sid Leiken, Pete Sorenson, Gary Williams
Mayor Vinis and Commissioner Farr opened the June 27, 2017, Joint Public Hearing of Eugene City
Council and Lane County Board of Commissioners.
1. PUBLIC HEARING: Urban Growth Boundary Adoption Package
Mayor Vinis and Commissioner Farr opened the Public Hearing.
City of Eugene Principal Planner, Terri Harding, introduced the topic of the Public Hearing.
Public Testimony:
• Pat McGillivray-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
• Janet Calvert-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
• Elizabeth Langston-spoke in opposition to the UGB Adoption Package.
• Brent McLean-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
• Sue Pritchard-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
• Bill Aspegren-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
• Bill Close-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
• Ed McMahon-spoke in opposition to the UGB Adoption Package.
• Michael Reeder-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
• Ferris Cassell-spoke in opposition to the UGB Adoption Package.
• Brittany Quick-Warner-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
• Larry Banks-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
• Carlene Reilly-spoke in support of the UGB Adoption Package.
MOTION and VOTE: Commissioner Bozievich moved, second.ed by Commissioner Leiken,
to close the Public Hearing, but hold the record open until 5 p.m., July 5, 2017. PASSED 5:0
MOTION and VOTE: Councilor Zelenka moved, seconded by Councilor Clark, to close the
Public Hearing, but hold the record open until 5 p.m., July 5, 2017. PASSED 8:0
The meeting adjourned at 7:20p.m.
