CEREMONIAL MATTERS Mayor Vinis read a proclamation for Human Rights Day. City Manager, Sarah Medary, honored Mayor Vinis and Councilor Semple for their years of service. 2. COMMITTEE REPORTS AND ITEMS OF INTEREST • Councilor Clark -noted his appreciation for Mayor Vinis and Councilor Semple's service to the community. • Councilor Keating -thanked Mayor Vinis and Councilor Semple for serving the community. • Councilor Zelenka -thanked Mayor Vinis and Councilor Semple for their leadership and service. • Councilor Evans -shared updates from the Intergovernmental Relations Committee regarding legislative priorities and policies and preparation for the upcoming legislative session. • Councilor Groves -noted his appreciation for Mayor Vinis and Councilor Semple and their commitment to civil discourse. • Councilor Yeh -noted her appreciation for Councilor Semple's support when she joined the Council. • Councilor Leech -stated her appreciation for Councilor Semple's support when she was new to Council; noted the Homelessness and Poverty Workgroup of the Human Rights Commission is hosting a candlelight vigil for Homeless Person's Remembrance Day on December 21. 3. Councilor Groves -noted a resolution with the City and Neighbors Feeding Neighbors would have to balance the impacts on the neighborhood. Councilor Semple -reflected on her experiences with public comment over the years; encouraged everyone to maintain hope and celebrate themselves and each other.
