RESOLUTION NO. 5493
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CLEAN WATER STATE REVOLVING
FUND LOAN AGREEMENT
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. On August 8, 2024, the City submitted an application to the Oregon Department of
Environmental Quality ("DEQ") to fund the South of Beltline Highway Wastewater Extension
("the Project").
B. The initial estimated cost of the Project to be funded by DEQ was $1,650,000, DEQ
approved a Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan for that amount, and the City Council
authorized the City Manager to obtain such a loan pursuant to Resolution No. 5447 adopted by the
City Council on April 28, 2025.
C. The estimated cost of the Project has now increased to approximately $2,200,000.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a
Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows:
Section 1. The Eugene City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to take such actions
as needed to undertake the loan described above for approximately $550,000 more than was
authorized by Resolution No. 5447 (for a total of approximately $2,200,000), including negotiating
the final terms and conditions of the loan documents, executing and delivering the final loan
documents, and any other acts necessary or appropriate to obtain the above -described Clean Water
State Revolving Fund Loan on behalf of the City of Eugene.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
The foregoing Resolution adopted and effective the 2811 day of September, 2026.
