EXECUTIVE SESSION Pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(i) Mayor: The Eugene City Council will now meet in Executive Session to review and evaluate the performance of an employee. The Executive Session is held pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(i). All other members of the audience are asked to leave the room. Representatives of the news media are specifically directed not to report on any of the deliberations during the executive session, except to state the general subject of the session as previously announced. No decision may be made in executive session. At the end of the executive session, we will return to open session and welcome the audience back into the room. 6:20 p.m.* C. WORK SESSION: City Manager Annual Performance Review City Council President: I move to complete goal-setting for the next year with the City Manager by October 1, 2010, and to accept the agreed-upon compensation adjustment. Roll Call Vote *time approximate 7:30 p.m. CITY COUNCIL MEETING Council Chamber, City Hall 1.PUBLIC FORUM Mayor: The Public Forum is an opportunity for individuals to speak to the City Council on any city-related issues except for those items which have already been heard by a Hearings Official or are on tonight’s agenda as a public hearing. Each person will have three minutes to speak. When you come to the podium, please give your name, city of residence, and, for Eugene residents, your ward if known. The timer and lights indicate the time you have to speak. A yellow light will come on when you have 15 seconds to complete your comments. The red light indicates the end of three minutes. Mayor closes Public Forum and asks for comments from the City Council. 2. CONSENT CALENDAR (Note: Time permitting, action on the Consent Calendar may be taken at the 5:30 p.m. work session.) A.Approval of City Council Minutes - May 10, 2010, Council Meeting - June 21, 2010, Public Hearing B.Approval of Tentative Working Agenda City Council President: I move to approve the items on the Consent Calendar. Roll Call Vote Eugene City Council Agenda: July 26, 2010 Z:\CMO\2010 Council Agendas\M100726\A100726S.doc 3.PUBLIC HEARING: Proposal to Name New Willamette/I-5 Bridge the “Whilamut Passage Bridge” 4.PUBLIC HEARING: An Ordinance Concerning Downtown Public Safety Zones; Amending Ordinance No. 20419 to Extend the Sunset Date and Deadline for Providing a Recommendation Regarding Continued Enforcement of the Ordinance; and Providing an Immediate Effective Date 5.ACTION: Adoption of Resolution 5012 Authorizing the Institution of Proceedings in Eminent Domain for the Acquisition of Property Interests for the West Bank Willamette River Pedestrian/Bicycle Extension Path Project City Council President: I move to adopt Resolution 5012, authorizing the institution of proceedings in eminent domain for the acquisition of property interests (tax map 17-03-18-00 lot 699 and tax map 17-04-12-40 lot 800) for the bicycle pedestrian path extension. Roll Call Vote 6.ACTION: Adoption of Resolution 5013 to Denounce Hate, Intolerance, and Bias Activities in the City of Eugene City Council President: I move to adopt Resolution 5013 to denounce hate, intolerance, and bias activities in the city of Eugene.
