HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdmin Order 21-10-05ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 21-10-05 of the City Manager DELEGATING TO THE CITY RECORDER THE AUTHORITY TO SIGN APPROVED MINUTES. The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds that: A. Under the provisions. of Chapter IV, Section 16 of the Eugene Charter of 2002, the City Manager is designated as the administrative head of the City, and is specifically authorized to appoint and remove all employees (except as otherwise provided in the. Charter), and to enforce all ordinances of the City. B. Minutes of Council meetings are transcribed and presented to the City Council for approval. It has been the practice of the City Manager to sign the Minutes after City Council approval. C. I find it would be more efficient and in the public interest to delegate my duties and responsibilities to the City Recorder regarding signing approved Minutes. NOW, THERFORE, The City Manager of the City of Eugene Orders and Directs that: 1. The above findings are adopted. 2. The City Recorder is authorized to carry out, my duties of signing Minutes after they have been approved by the City Council. 3. The delegation of authority contained in this Order shall be construed to extend to and include any person(s) "acting in capacity" (AIC) for the City Recorder, or any sworn Deputy City Recorder.
