ISSUE STATEMENT
This agenda item is for the council to discuss the 2010 Civilian Review Board Annual Report which was
issued in May of this year.
BACKGROUND
Section 2.246(7) Ordinance 20734 establishing the Civilian Review Board states:
The civilian review board shall prepare and present an annual report to the city council that:
(a) Summarizes the civilian review board’s activities, findings and recommendations during the
preceding year;
(b) Assesses the performance of the police auditor consistent with section 2.244(7); and
(c) Evaluates the work of the auditor’s office, including whether the auditor’s office is functioning as
intended.
At this meeting the Civilian Review Board will present its 2010 Annual Report which was transmitted to
the council in May of this year.
