1.PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
Mayor: We recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag this evening in honor of
Veterans Day on November 11.
In November 1919, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed November 11 as the first
commemoration of Armistice Day with the following words: "To us in America, the
reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those
who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of
the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given
America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the
nations…"
I invite you all to stand and join us in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance:
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic
for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty, and justice for
all.”

Mayor: The Public Forum is an opportunity for individuals to speak to the City
Council on any city-related issues except for those items which have already been
heard by a Hearings Official or are on tonight’s agenda as a public hearing.
Each person will have three minutes to speak. When you come to the podium,
please give your name, city of residence, and, for Eugene residents, your ward if
known. The timer and lights indicate the time you have to speak. A yellow light will
come on when you have 15 seconds to complete your comments. The red light
indicates the end of three minutes.
Mayor closes Public Forum and asks for comments from the City Council.
4.CONSENT CALENDAR
(Note: Time permitting, action on the Consent Calendar may be taken at
the 5:30 p.m. work session.)
A. Approval of Tentative Working Agenda
B. Appointment to Lane Workforce Partnership Board
City Council President: I move to approve the items on the Consent Calendar.

5.ACTION:
Resolution Supporting Immigrant Integration Statement of Principles
City Council President: I move to adopt Resolution 5073 in support of a Statement
of Principles for immigrant integration.

6.ACTION:
Oregon Department of Transportation State Transportation Improvement
Program Funding 2015-2018
City Council President: I move to approve the provided list of 2015-2018 STIP
priorities for projects within the City of Eugene. Direct staff and the council’s MPC
and Lane Act representatives to use this list as a guide when representing the City at
TPC, MPC and Lane ACT meetings regarding STIP funding.
