ISSUE STATEMENT
The purpose of this work session is to provide an update on planning efforts related to City Hall.
BACKGROUND
In July 2012, the City Council heard information resulting from the City Hall Advisory Committee
regarding strategies and discussion points that could assist staff and decision-makers when
considering City Hall options. The City Council appointed a council subcommittee to more fully
consider that and other information, and develop recommendations to the full City Council.
The City Council Subcommittee on City Hall has met four times in recent months including
September 19, October 17 and 25, as well as on November 8.
At the work session, subcommittee members Councilors Clark, Pryor and Zelenka, and staff will
provide an update on subcommittee discussions and project process thus far. Recent
subcommittee work has included extensive discussions on project funding, consolidation options
and further discussion of the key project criteria and how they relate to project values. The council
will have the opportunity for feedback and input regarding the committee process.
COUNCIL OPTIONS
The work session will include a discussion of the decision-making process. No options are
presented at this time.
