Issues surrounding a shortage or surplus offunds at the end of the fiscal year will be addressed <br /> <br />equitably for all participating hazardous substance users, in accordance with generally accepted <br /> <br />accounting procedures. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a <br /> <br />Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. A fee of $12.54 per FTE is hereby imposed as the fee to be paid by hazardous <br /> <br />substance users within the City of Eugene for the fiscal year commencing July 1,2001. The fee shall <br /> <br />be due and payable by May 1, 2001. <br /> <br />Section 2. As used in this Resolution, the terms "FTE," and "hazardous substance users" <br /> <br />have the meanings ascribed to them in Section 3.692 of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br /> <br />Section 3. The fees collected pursuant to this Resolution shall be used solely for the purpose <br /> <br />of operating the Toxics Right-to-Know Program created by Amendment IV to the Eugene Charter <br /> <br />of 1976 and implemented by subsequent ordinances of the City, commencing with the July 1, 2001 <br /> <br />fiscal year. <br /> <br />The foregoing Resolution adopted the 9th day of April, 2001. <br /> <br />:(Jit~<rl j:1JJ <br /> <br />/ City Recorder <br /> <br />Resolution - 2 <br />
