The matter was referr~d to the Judiciary Committee and City Attorne.y <br /> Mr. Lamb also reported eighteen street lamps in the clus,t,er llght system <br /> between the Osburne Hotel and Willamette Street as not burning. Onthank, expressing his appreciation <br /> of the efficient response of the fire department on the case of residence fire to <br /> hi's home, was read and placed on file. , <br /> A communication from Fred E. ~mith, relating to the nuisance of scattering <br /> I pamphlets and handbills on residents property, was referred to the Judiciary <br /> Committee and City Attorney. <br /> Application of Mrs. L. E. Rogers for hotel permit at 623 Willamette Street, <br /> approved by 'Chief Hall, was on motion granted. <br /> Reports of the Health Officer, S. M. The ayes and nays were <br /> called, all councilmen voting aye, nay, none. <br /> The offer of the National Machinery Co. to sell the city a 1930 fordson, <br /> which was reported t,o be but slightly used, at a price of $527.00, on which the <br /> city would be allowed '~or its old fordson ~150.00 and to include changing of old <br /> city tires on to new tractor, was presented and referred to the street committee. <br /> A deed, tendered by E'rank L.
