Upon motion this was postponed for 30 <br />days. <br /> <br />-,.a, <br />'l7. , ~",' <br /> <br />~~.:t <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />An Ordinance authorizing and directing the issuance and sale of Refunding <br />Bonds.to be designated "REFUNDING ASSESSMENT BONDS Ell,' for the purpose of redeeming <br />paying and retiring certain bonds issued pursuant to applications to pay assess- <br />ments in installments, which bonds are redeemable at the option of the City of <br />Eugene, and are designated Series A-J, bearing interest at 5 3/4 per cent, in the <br />principal sum of $30,681.53 and maturing August 1, 1942; and directing that said <br />bonds be called for redemption, and declaring an emergency, was read the first <br />time and passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule <br />by the unanimous consent of the Council and was placed upon its final passage. <br />The ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye 7, nay none, absent Zumwalt, <br />Th~ Ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8426. <br /> <br />The application of Emmett E. Parks for a ,Furnished Apartment House permit at <br />7th and VHllamette Street was pr esented and on motion granted. <br /> <br />The application of Mrs. M. Huffman for a Roomfung House permit at 571 Willame- <br />tte Street was on motion granted. <br /> <br />The Recorder was instructed to get a statement from the County Treasurer <br />concerning the interest received on delinquent taxes since 1931, in order to make <br />a check and see if the City has received its share. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />An Ordinance accepting the bid of E.
