An Ordinance authorizing and directing the issuance and sale of Refunding Bonds.to be designated "REFUNDING ASSESSMENT BONDS Ell,' for the purpose of redeeming paying and retiring certain bonds issued pursuant to applications to pay assess- ments in installments, which bonds are redeemable at the option of the City of Eugene, and are designated Series A-J, bearing interest at 5 3/4 per cent, in the principal sum of $30,681.53 and maturing August 1, 1942; and directing that said bonds be called for redemption, and declaring an emergency, was read the first time and passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule by the unanimous consent of the Council and was placed upon its final passage. The ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye 7, nay none, absent Zumwalt, Th~ Ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8426. The application of Emmett E. Parks for a ,Furnished Apartment House permit at 7th and VHllamette Street was pr esented and on motion granted. The application of Mrs. M. Huffman for a Roomfung House permit at 571 Willame- tte Street was on motion granted. The Recorder was instructed to get a statement from the County Treasurer concerning the interest received on delinquent taxes since 1931, in order to make a check and see if the City has received its share. 1 An Ordinance accepting the bid of E.
