Upon motion made and seconded the Finance Committee was granted <br /> complete authority to set up complete accounts and provide necessary personnel to <br /> properly handle the meter problem. It is further understood that if the meters be- <br /> come operative prior to the next meeting of the council, temporary appointments can <br /> be made from the present Civil Service list for patrolmen to check the meters and it <br /> 17- was so ordered. <br />I Councilman Farrinston asked for an extension of time to make the repopt on <br /> 18- the storeroom space at the Eugene Airport and the request was unanimously granted. <br /> Communication was presented from Horace W. Munro requesting the use of the <br /> city lot at 1st and Monroe Streets for a garden spot. The.communication was referre <br /> to the Lien Department, under the supervision of the City Enginner's Officr, <br /> 19..... granting the authority to allow the request. <br />I Communication was presented from the Board of Appeals presenting the r'equest of <br /> Louise Wetterstrom for permission to erect a duplex residence on the property offer <br /> presented earlier in the evening. As this property is just out of the R-2 zone the <br /> Board would recommend that Miss Wetterstrom be granted a permit to erect a two- <br /> family residence, the ground area of said structure not to exceed 30% of the total <br /> area of property purchased. Upon motion made and seconded the recommendation was <br /> 20 "- unanimously approved. <br /> Further communication was presented f'rom the Board of Appeals revealing the <br /> request of Mrs. McBee who had purchased the two-story house at 1307 11th Avenue <br /> West from the City, asking to be allowed to convert this house into a two-family <br /> 21t residence. 'rhe Board would recornmend that this request be granted and upon motion <br /> made and s. econded the recommendation was unanimously ?pproved. <br /> .... <br />
