It was the recommendation of the Finance <br />Committee that both thes~ offers be rejected, and on motion made, seconded and <br />carried the recanmendation of the Finance Committee was adopted. <br /> <br />The Street Committee had no report, but Mr. Barette reported that they were <br />still very busy Cleaning up after the recent storm, ahd that in another week or <br />two they woUld have the work pretty well in hand. <br /> <br />Councilman Stewart of the Fire and Water Committee reported retgarding <br />the use of gasoline fram the City pump by Fire Chief Nusbaum. He stated that the <br />3 i Committee had had a IDeeting and felt that it was not wise to curtail the travel <br />of'Mr. Nusbaum at this time, and the Committee was recommending that he be allowed <br />thirty gallons of gasoline a month for his car from the City tank. He stated he <br />was making that in a form of motion and this motion was seconded by Brownson and <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Stewart stated that the Fire Department had designated one day each week <br />for inspections and that the fireman making the inspections was to take along with <br />4 him one of the new men in order that the new men might become familiar with the <br />i conditions and to familiarize themselves with-the entrances to the different <br />buildings. <br /> <br />The Health Committee had no report. <br /> <br />'i <br />:i <br /> <br />Councilman Hawn, reporting for the Parks Committee, stated that a letter had <br />been received from S. L. Smith regarding the condition of the bird cages back of <br />the butte and the way in which the birds were being taken care of.
