Councilman Hawn said that Ken Proctor had cut a 150 foot pole rneasuring,5 inch s <br />at the top and that he was offering to give this to the City for a flag pole and wo Id <br />deliver it to the top of 'Skinner Butte and would pay for the blacksmithing for <br />11 supports for the guy wires and also furnish the guy wires. The City to pay for <br />erecting the pole. A motion was made, seconded, and carried that the offer be <br />accepted and the Parks Committee was instructed to make arrangements to raise the <br />: pole. Councilman Hawn said he thought he could interest. the Kiwanis Club in <br />: furnishing a large flag for this pole, but Mayor Large said he thought the City <br />! should be able to furnish the flag. <br />I <br />I Councilman Crumbaker asked about getting water to the City owned ~ouse on <br />I <br />1b2 I North Polk Street, which had been ordered some time ago.. He said the Army Engineer's <br />in Portland had been contacted, but there seemed to be no solution at this time.
