Records are being <br />properly. kept and all funds are accounted for." <br />**************** <br /> <br />"We have audi ted the fins nc ial records of the City of Eugene for the <br />per~oQ from July 1 to December 31, 1946 and find that all moneys and properties <br />have been properly accounted for. Securities of the City held as investments of <br />funds were inspected at September 30, 1946, but were not insp~cted at December 31. <br /> <br />en <br />-..\. .. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Assistance has been given the finance officer as necessary in the <br />keeping of the records." <br /> <br />It was moved by Davis, seconded by Allen that the reports be received and placed <br />on file. Motion carried. <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />A report from John Fields, City Treasurer, was submitted and read as <br /> <br />"The City has $164,000.00 Series "E" 7/8% War Bonds which are due <br />June 1st. It is likely that the Bank will receive an offer for exchange of this <br />issue around the 15th of ~~y. We will need authority from the Council to deliver <br />these bonds at that time, or if no offer is made for exchange, to deliver the <br />bonds for redemption by June 1st. <br /> <br />These bonds are invested in Sinking Funds as follows: <br />$60,000.00 General Bond Sinking Fund: We will need this amount in December, 1947. <br />74,000.00 Sewage Disposal Fund. <br />2,000.00 In Old Improvement Bond Interest Fund: We will have no use at all for <br />this money. <br /> <br />15,000.00 Fire Equipment Fund <br />13,000.00 City Hall Sinking Fund <br /> <br />It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the report be received and placed on <br />file and that authority be given to deliver or exchange securities as receommended. <br />Motion carried.
