I
G. Dutch Elm Disease
e Parks and Recreation Director Ernie Drapela reported that the Dutch elm
disease has been verified in some street trees at 14th Avenue and Patterson
Street. He said the adult beetles have left those trees and probably will go
to others. He said State law mandates that the infected trees be removed and
buried. He said City staff will continue to work on the problem.
H. Begging by Transients
Mr. Miller said transients are begging, harassing, and intimidating people in
several areas of the city. They are causing much trouble on West 6th
Avenue.
