<br />No ex parte contacts or conflicts of interest were declared by councilors. <br /> <br />Staff notes and minutes were entered into the record. <br /> <br />~ Public hearing was opened. <br /> <br />There being no testimony, public hearing was closed. <br /> <br />CB 2634--An ordinance authorizing rezoning from PL Public Land to <br />RA Low-Density Residential District for property located <br />east on Danebo Street, north of West 11th Avenue. <br /> <br />Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Obie, that findings supporting <br />the rezoning as set forth in Planning Commission staff notes <br />and minutes of March 15, 1983, be adopted by reference thereto; <br />that the bill be read the second time by council bill number only, <br />with unanimous consent of the council; and that enactment be <br />considered at this time. Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Council Bill 2634 was read the second time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Obie, that the bill be approved <br />and given final passage. Roll call vote. All councilors present <br />voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 19135. <br /> <br />C. Council-Initiated Improvements for Paving of Sam R Street, 12th Avenue, <br />and Wallis Street (1962) (memo, resolution distributed) <br /> <br />Mr. Gleason introduced Bert Teitzel, City Engineer. Mr. Teitzel said that the <br />City Council had initiated consideration of paving for Sam R and Wallis Streets <br />and portions of 12th Avenue as a result of citizen requests at the February 12, <br />1983, council meeting. He said that staff had met with property owners and that <br />one owner had expressed concern with the cost of the project, given the current <br />economy. <br /> <br />Responding to questions from Councilor Wooten, Mr. Teitzel said that all affected <br />property owners were notified of the staff hearing and of this council hearing. <br />He said five owners were represented at the staff hearing. <br /> <br />Public hearing was opened. <br /> <br />Ray Janisse, 84700 Arbie Lane, said that he owns the Janisse Street subdivision. <br />He noted that it was not just area property owners but also owners of buildings <br />on nearby streets that wanted the improvements. He said that he had done a <br />phone poll of all those affected and that all those surveyed wanted the improve- <br />ments. <br /> <br />There being no further testimony, public hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Res.
