Request for Update on City Policy Regarding Spay/Neuter Clinic <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Councilor Hansen said that he had been contacted by area veterinarians who would <br />like to know when the study on the City's policy regarding the spay/neuter <br />clinic will be developed. Councilor Lindberg and City Manager Micheal Gleason <br />responded that the study would be finished by September 1983 and would be <br />the subject of the September 12 council dinner meeting with representatives of <br />the Lane County Veterinarians Association. Mr. Gleason said that a process <br />would be developed for contacting veterinarians for their comments on the <br />policy. <br /> <br />D. Regulations Involving Sales from Pushcarts <br /> <br />Councilor Hansen referred to discussion at the May 25 council meeting regarding <br />regulations that would be drawn up to govern sales from pushcarts. He urged <br />that the regulations protect all businesses, large and small, from having <br />pushcarts park in front of and compete with them. <br /> <br />E. Request for Update on Status of Request for Proposals for Management <br />Audit of the Hult Center <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Councilor Wooten requested an update at the June 15 council meeting on the <br />status of requests for proposals for a management audit of the Hult Center for <br />the Performing Arts. <br /> <br />F. Request for Update on Progress of the Metropolitan Wastewater Management <br />Commission in Pursuing a Flow-Based Rate System <br /> <br />Councilor Wooten requested an update on the progress of the Metropolitan Wastewater <br />Management Commission in examining implementation of a flow-based rate system. <br />Mr. Gleason and Councilor Smith responded that work on this was on schedule and <br />that the council would receive a report by July 1, 1983. <br /> <br />G. Problem of Bicycle Thefts <br /> <br />Councilor Wooten said she had recently been contacted regarding theft of a $400 <br />bicycle. She said such thefts are more and more common and asked if the Police <br />Department could develop some information on control, regarding registration, <br />licensing, or engraving of identification numbers and whether such methods are <br />effective. Mr. Gleason said that the matter would be looked into and a report <br />made to the council at a future date. <br /> <br />H. Budget Celebration <br /> <br />Councilor Wooten noted that the Eugene Action Forum had invited councilors, <br />staff, and Budget Committee members to a party on June 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at <br />the Laurelwood Club, to celebrate conclusion of the budget process. <br /> <br />I. Appointment to Eugene Traffic Safety Commission <br /> <br />Mayor Keller announced his appointment of Charles R.
