Amending Section 2.525 re: Permitting issuance of checks in excess of $1000 under <br /> certain conditions in payment for already authorized right-of-way acquisition <br /> Proposed Ordinance Change to Expedite Right-of-Way Acquisitions <br /> Through this proposal, under certain conditions, single checks to exceed $1,000 Corom <br /> for payment on already authorized right-of-way acquisitions could be issued 9/10/75 <br /> without Council prior approval of the checks. Pub Hrng <br /> Mr. Williams moved seconded by Mr. Hamel to schedule a public hearing <br /> on an ordinance change to Section 2.525 of the City Code. Assistant Manager said the Council would be <br /> aware of it when presented with a proposal to acquire right-of-way. Only after <br /> Council adoption of a resolution to negotiate for right-of-way would negotiations <br /> proceed. If right-of-way could not be purchased within the appraised price, fur- <br /> ther Council discussion would be required before actual acquisition. <br /> Councilman Murray asked whether the money used for payment would be budgeted for . <br /> specific projects or for general right-of-way acquisition.
