<br />Since Marty Ravellette lives in Springfield, discussion ensued as to City policy
<br />requiring city residence to serve on commissions.

<br />Mr. Obie moved second by Mr. Delay to disregard the policy.
<br />Mr. Haws ruled the motion out of order.
<br />
<br />Mr. Delay moved second by Mr. Williams that Johansen,
<br />Weideman, and Hocken be named to the Handicapped Commission.
<br />The motion passed unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mr. Bradley moved second by Mr. Lieuallen that Ravellette be
<br />named the alternate to the Commission. The motion was defeated
<br />with Bradley voting aye, and all others voting no, and Mr. Obie
<br />temporarily absent.

<br />The staff was ,asked to speak with the City Manager about having the residency
<br />policy put on a Committee-of-the Whole agenda for further discussion.

<br />For the Minority Commission, Whitty Bass, Toshkin Vi, and Rebecca Leone were
<br />interviewed. Glennette Olvera was unable to come in for an interview. The
<br />preference was as follows:
