thorough attempt was made by the Committee to arrive at a compromise.
He feels the result is a reasonble approach in dealing with the issues.
Mr. Porter, Planning Director, noted that in November Council recommended .~
the Economic Improvement Commission, and conditioned it on the voting
issue. He said that issue has been well handled by the subcommittee
and reflects Council's previous action. Mr. Delay said he feels that
a good mechanism in an office is to limit the number of consecutive
terms so as not to allow any member to become too entrenched. Commission was read by number and title. .

Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Bradley, to adopt the resolution,
Motion carried unanimously.

VI. Lane Transit District Ballot Measure

Letter, resolution, and fact sheet have been distributed to Council members.
Mayor Keller said that in looking at the T-2000 Plan it would appear appro-
priate for Council to support the ballot measure, keeping it in mind
as T-2000 is discussed.

Res. No. 2915--Supporting Lane Transit District's income tax was read
by number and title.

Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Bradley, to adopt the resolution
Motion carried unanimously. ~

VII.
