<br /> Mr. Haws expressed some concern regarding the length of time the final <br /> - interviewing process would take. Mr. Williams suggested that the presenta- <br /> tions be reduced from two hours to one and one-half hours. Asssistant <br /> Manager noted the entire process to be used during that interview session <br /> had not been completely resolved. However, Mr. Scott has been through 500 <br /> selection processes and the staff will be relying on his advice. <br /> It was consensus of Council that both Friday, August 25, and Saturday, <br /> August 26, would be held open by Councilors for the final interviews, <br /> pending the outcome of the poll of the Civic Center Commission for those <br /> dates. <br /> II. Segregation of Assessment <br /> West side of Crest Drive, north of Courtney Way; Gregory Dauw, 907 Crest <br /> Drive, SE 78-03 <br /> Mr. Delay moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to approve the segregation <br /> of assessment. .Motion carried unanimously. <br /> III. Public Hearings: Street Name Changes <br /> Unanimously recommended by Planning Commission June 12 and 26, 1978. <br /> Public hearing was held with no testimony presented. <br /> Answering a question from Mr. Haws, John Porter, Planning Director, said <br /> e the fee structure for street name changes and appeals had been referred <br /> by Council to the Citizens Involvement Advisory Committee. The Committee <br /> had no position on street name change fees, but will recommend no fee <br /> schedule for appeals. That report will be coming before Council later. <br /> Mr. Haws requested from Mr. Porter an estimated cost for the process <br /> regarding street name changes. <br /> C.B. 1726--Authorizing street name change from Elby Drive to Lorella <br /> Avenue, located west of Debrick Road, between Rio Glen Drive <br /> and Clinton Drive (SC 78-1) and declaring an emergency was <br /> read by council bill number and title only, there being no <br /> Councilor present requesting it be read in full. <br /> Mr. Delay moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, that the bill be read <br /> the second time by council bill number only, with unanimous <br /> consent of the Council, and that enactment be considered at this <br /> time. Motion carried unanimously, and the bill was read the <br /> second time by council bill number only. <br /> Mr. Delay moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, that the bill be approved <br /> and given final passage.
