Section 2. In the event property is annexed to the City of Eugene in the area south of 30 <br />Avenue and east of Chambers Street if extended, electors residing within the annexed area shall <br />be assigned to Ward 2. <br />Section 3. In the event property is annexed to the City of Eugene in the area north of 30' <br />Avenue, east of Hilyard, and south of the Willamette River, electors residing within the annexed <br />area shall be assigned to Ward 3. <br />Section 4. In the event property is annexed to the City of Eugene in the area north and <br />east of the Willamette River and east of County Farm Road, electors residing in the annexed area <br />shall be assigned to Ward 4. <br />Section 5. In the event property is annexed to the City of Eugene in the area north and <br />east of the Willamette River and west of County Farm Road, or north of Beltline and east of <br />River Road, electors residing within the annexed area shall be assigned to Ward 5. <br />Section 6. In the event property is annexed to the City of Eugene in the area north of <br />Royal Avenue and west of Highway 99, electors residing within the annexed area shall be <br />assigned to Ward 6. <br />Section 7. Except as provided in Sections 5 and 6, in the event property is annexed to the <br />City of Eugene in area north of Roosevelt (including along an imaginary line extending east to <br />the Willamette River), west of Willamette River, and east of Highway 99, electors residing <br />within the annexed area shall be assigned to Ward 7. <br />Section S. In the event property is annexed to the City of Eugene in the area south of <br />Royal Avenue and west of Chambers Street, electors residing within the annexed area shall be <br />assigned to Ward 8. <br />Section 9 . At such time that property is annexed to the City of Eugene and the electors <br />residing in the newly annexed property are assigned to City wards, the City Manager or designee <br />shall review the new ward assignments in order to determine whether redistricting is necessary as <br />a result of an increase in the number of electors in those wards. <br />Section 10 . Resolution No. 4693 is repealed. <br />Section 11 . The City Recorder is requested to forward a certified copy of this Resolution <br />to the Chief Elections Officer of the Lane County Records & Elections Department. <br />Resolution - Page 2 of 3 <br />
