(f) Formalize and strengthen the existing relationship between <br />the City and the River Road, Santa Clara, and Glenwood community s. rou <br />9 p <br />(g) Recognize the community organizations as the "official <br />voices" of their respective areas, but would not rovi de staff support <br />pport <br />or newsletter funding. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a Municipal <br />Corporation of the State of Oregon, as fol <br />Section 1 . Based upon the above findings, which are adopted herein, <br />the City Counci adopts the following Limited Neighborhood Organization <br />g <br />Recognition Policy for the River -Road, Santa Clara, and Glenwood areas in <br />order to encourage involvement of community organizations in those e areas <br />in decision - making processes that affect their areas, and to define the <br />manner in which the organizations may achieve recognition by the City: <br />LIMITED NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZATION, RECOGNITION POLICY <br />(1) Community organizations within the River Road, Santa <br />Clara, and Glenwood areas desiring to be recognized by the Cit <br />as the "official voice" of their respective areas shall apply for <br />such recognition in the manner provided in the City's Neighborhood <br />Organization Recognition Policy set forth in Resolution No. 2554 <br />To the extent possible, charters for the organizations shall comply <br />with the Model Charter approved by Resolution No. 3745. <br />(2) The City's Neighborhood Liaison wil provide assistance <br />to organizations in these areas in achieving recognition, and will <br />continue to render assistance and attend organization meetings once <br />such status�is attained. <br />(3) Upon formal recognition under this po the organization <br />Resolution -- 3 <br />
