At the Small Business Clinic, business owners can get one-on-one advice and mentoring. Participants may sign up in <br />advance at 541-682-5450 for a no-cost, individual, and confidential 30-minute session with a SCORE counselor to address <br />the issues most important to one’s business right now. Sessions will be offered on Thursday, May 1, and Thursday, May 29, <br />with appointments between 5 and 7 p.m. <br /> <br />For more information, contact the Eugene Public Library at www.eugene-or.gov/library or 541-682-5450. <br /> <br />Bethel Education Foundation Loves Food, Not Waste! <br />The City of Eugene and Bethel Education Foundation (BEF) are teaming up to support Bethel students through the sale of <br />Love Food Not Waste (LFNW) bagged compost. In celebration of International Compost Awareness Week (the first week of <br />May), BEF will hold its first annual compost sale on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. - 3p.m. at all Bethel School District <br />schools. Bags can be pre-ordered online or purchased the day of the event from any school location. In addition to the <br />compost sale, select locations will also host: <br /> <br /> <br />Tours of school gardens and onsite composting systems <br /> <br /> <br />Raffles for items donated by participating LFNW businesses <br /> <br /> <br />Children’s educational activities sponsored by local community groups including Master Gardeners, School Garden <br /> <br />Project, and Partners for Sustainable Schools <br /> <br />Bethel Education Foundation enhances and invests in educational excellence in the Bethel School District by securing and <br />distributing charitable contributions that enrich educational opportunities for students.
