Section 4. <br />The definition of “Commercial” in the “Solid Waste, Yard Debris and <br />Recycling” section of Section 3.005 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide as <br />follows: <br />3.005 <br />For the purposes ofthis chapter, the following words and phrases shall mean: <br />Solid Waste, Yard Debris and Recycling: <br />Commercial <br />. Stores; offices, including manufacturing and industrialoffices; <br />restaurants; multi-family dwellings; warehouses; schools; colleges and universities; <br />hospitals; and otheremployment andindustrial, manufacturing and non- <br />manufacturing entities; but does not include business activities conducted in <br />residential dwellings. <br />Section 5. <br />The definition of “Industrial zone” in Section 4.330 of the Eugene Code, 1971, <br />is amended to provide as follows: <br />4.330Animal Control -Definitions <br />. For purposes of sections 4.330 to 4.500 of this <br />chapter, the following words and phrases mean: <br />Employment andindustrialzone <br />. Property zoned as "employment and industrial" <br />by Chapter 9 of this Code. <br />Section 6. <br />Subsection (1)(l) of Section 6.755 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to <br />provide as follows: <br />6.755Environmental Noise Disturbance –Exemptions, Variances. <br />(1) <br />Exemptions. The following sounds are exempted from the provisions of <br />section 6.750 of this code: <br />(l)Sounds produced by leaf blowers and street sweepers being used to <br />clean parking lots and adjacent areas in commercial or employment and <br />industrialzones. <br />Section 7. <br />Subsection (5) of Section 7.410 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to <br />provide as follows: <br />7.410Access Connections –Number, Width and Shared <br />. <br />(5) <br />The width of an access connection for multi-family, commercial and <br />employment andindustrialdevelopments shall be no less than 20 feet. <br />Ordinance -Page 2of 48 <br />
