Section 8. <br />Section 9.0500 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended by deleting the <br />definition of “Business Park,” amending the definition of “Lands Committed to Urban Use,” and <br />adding definitions for “Outdoor storage,” “Recycling-Deconstruction, Reuse, Resale,” and <br />“Wholesale”to provide as follows: <br />9.0500Definitions <br />. As used in this land use code, unless the context requires otherwise, <br />the following words and phrases mean: <br />Lands Committed to Urban Use <br />(as used in Willamette Greenway Permits <br />beginning at EC 9.8800). Those properties that are inappropriate for non-urban <br />uses due to economic, developmental, and/or locational factors. Economic, <br />developmental, and locational factors include, but are not limited to: established <br />ports,employment and industrial,commercial, residential, or recreational uses on or <br />near the subject property; the effect such established uses have upon the subject <br />property; previous public decisions regarding the subject property(as contained in <br />ordinances and adopted plans); and other public actions that affect the subject <br />property. <br />Outdoor storage <br />.Theretention, by the permitted use on-site, of raw or finished <br />materials, containers, equipment including vehicular fleet, or other property outside <br />a building for an extended period of time. Items stored inside a building that is not <br />enclosed on 100 percent of the area of its sides is considered outdoor. <br />Recycling–Deconstruction, Reuse, Resale <br />. A facility that takes in common <br />household goods or home furnishings, and then disassembles or repurposes the <br />products for reuse or resale. Compared to traditional manufacturing uses, this use <br />does not utilize raw materials, is not reliant upon national rail or truck shipping <br />routes, andconducts the majority of operations indoors. <br />Wholesale <br />. Establishments engaged in receipt, storage, and distribution of goods <br />by truck, rail, or air to retailers and other wholesale vendors, but do not involve <br />direct sale to the public. <br />Section 9. <br />The “Commercial” and “Industrial” entries in Table 9.1030 of Section 9.1030of <br />the Eugene Code, 1971, are amended to provide as follows: <br />9.1030Establishment and List of Zones. <br />The zones listed in Table 9.1030 Zonesare <br />established as follows: <br />Table 9.1030 Zones <br />Broad Zone CategoryZone <br />Commercial <br />C-1Neighborhood Commercial Zone <br />C-2Community Commercial Zone <br />C-3Major Commercial Zone <br />GOGeneral Office Zone <br />Ordinance -Page 3of 48 <br />
