<br />Goal 6 - Air, Water and Land Resources Quality: To maintain and improve the quality of the <br />air, water and land resources of the state. <br /> <br />Response: <br />Nothing in the proposal or the character of the site or potential uses indicates a tuture <br />development that would compromise air, water and land resources. Future development of the <br />site will be in conformance with local, state and federal law including aspects of the Eugene <br />Code. The subject site is not within the Natural Resource Overlay Zone (/WR) or the Waterside <br />Protection Overlay Zone (/WP). As indicated in findings regarding Goal 11, incorporated herein <br />by reterence, options for accessing or providing the necessary urban services are available. <br />Therefore, the amendments are consistent with Goal 6. <br /> <br />Goal 7 - Areas Subject to Natural Disasters and Hazards: To protect lift and property .Ii'om <br />natural disasters and hazards. <br /> <br />Response: <br />Goal 7 addresses natural hazards and requires that local govenunent<; inventory risks for floods, <br />landslides, earthquakes and related hazards, and wildtires among others and implement <br />appropriate safeguards when planning for development in areas of natural hazards. The Alulti- <br />hazard Alitigation Plan for the Eugene!.{",pringfield Aletropolitan Area (Metro Hazard Plan) was <br />adopted by Eugene on November 8, 2004; this plan is non-regulatory but provides an inventory <br />of known hazards. <br /> <br />The Metro Hazard Plan does not identify any known hazards within the area of the subject site. <br />Furthemlore, the subject area is outside of the 100 year and 500 year flood plains. There are no <br />adopted or non-adopted maps that identify the subject site to be within a knmvn haz.ard area. <br />Future development on this site will include a full analysis of hazard risk and mitigate the risk <br />through appropriate construction. As such this amendment is in compliance with Goal 7. <br /> <br />Goal 8 - Recreation Needs: To satisfy the recreational needs of the citizens of the state and <br />visitors and, where appropriate, to provide for the siting of necessary recreational facilities <br />including destination resorts. <br /> <br />Response: <br />The City of Eugene has adopted the following documents which are relevant to Goal 8: <br /> <br />.
