<br />With nine total members, a quorum for the commission consists of five members. This can lead <br />? <br /> <br />to quorum problems considering the ex officio members cannot vote, but constitute membership <br />on the commission. <br /> <br />As proposed, the bylaw amendments address the ex officio issue, along with a number of other similar <br />operational updates to reflect current practice on the Planning Commission, as well as the practice of <br />other citywide commissions. <br /> <br /> <br />RELATED CITY POLICIES <br />There is no City policy which directly relates to this item. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL OPTIONS <br /> <br />The City Council may consider the following options: <br />1. Approve the proposed ordinance <br />2. Approved the proposed ordinance with specific modifications as determined by the City Council <br />3. Deny the proposed ordinance <br /> <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />This is scheduled for a public hearing only.
